Clarification on This Morning’s Email

We have gotten some calls regarding the email we sent out earlier today about the Executive Order signed by Governor Whitmer this morning. In plain English, here is what you need to know:

  1. Executive Order 2020-17 imposed temporary requirements regarding the postponement of non-essential medical and dental procedures.
  2. Executive Order 2020-96, signed this morning by Governor Whitmer, rescinds Executive Order 2020-17 as of May 28, 2020, at 11:59pm.
  3. Therefore, as of May 29, 2020, at 12:00am, Executive Order 2020-17 IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT, meaning that you can open your office and practice as you did before the crisis, as long as you adhere to social distancing practices, other mitigation measures to protect workers and the public, and the guidance that will soon be issued by the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs.
