Business Interruption Insurance: A Potential Tool for Recovery in the COVID-19 Economic Climate

The MAC has partnered with attorneys Kenneth Neuman, Jennifer Grieco, and Stephen McKenney from Altior Law to bring you a webinar on this important topic, available here.

Could a business interruption insurance provision in your property/casualty insurance policies cover losses incurred from being shut down due to COVID-19? Find out in this lunch and learn webinar with a panel of legal experts who will explain the basics of business insurance policies that most of us have, as well as the potential for successfully arguing that your insurance policy must provide insurance coverage for your losses related to COVID-19. Topics of discussion include the most common contract provisions that exist amongst the various property and casualty insurance policies written for insureds in Michigan, the legal defenses that the insurance industry has already begun to make in denying COVID-19 based claims, and the road ahead to pursue a good faith claim for a recovery for damages suffered due to the shut-down of your practice. Don’t miss this important webinar!
