BrainWave Virtual Symposium Registrants:

We want to sincerely thank you for registering for the BrainWave Symposium, powered by SIDECAR. Our program begins this Saturday, June 13th, at 8am, and runs through Tuesday, June 30th, with the 6 live CEs available Saturday 8:00a-3:00p only. They will be recorded and placed on the learning platform for those that don’t need “live” hours where you can interact with the speaker. Again, once they are recorded they cannot be considered live hours in most states.

Here is what you need to know to access our webinars and make the most of your Virtual Convention experience!

Our virtual conference is hosted by SIDECAR, a chiropractic business development and training firm. SIDECAR operates a web-based training system that allows us to broadcast live sessions as well as additional continuing education.

Accessing Convention Courses

We STRONGLY urge you to create your user profile before Saturday. Please click here to create an account and enter the training center. You may want to familiarize yourself with SIDECAR'S “Learning Center” prior to the beginning of the Virtual Symposium. We recommend that each individual attendee use their own device to sign in, watch the webinar, and take attendance verification quizzes. If this is not possible, and you are participating with another attendee, open two browser tabs or windows and each attendee should sign into their own account to take each quiz.
For assistance, please contact Jason Dykstra with SIDECAR at

Live Hours
Saturday, June 13, 8:00a – 3:00p: Live webinars
In order to receive 6 live hours, you MUST attend these live webinars during the above time frames. This is the only time these “live” hours will be offered during the BrainWave Virtual Symposium.  Due to the coronavirus, the State of Michigan and many other states are allowing a special exception to the rule that continuing education hours be achieved at a live, in-person seminar. However, it is being required that in order to obtain these hours, attendees must be able to interact directly with the webinar presenter. Therefore, you must attend 8:00a-3:00p to receive live credits. Please use the chat function to ask questions during the live webinars! We will be recording the sessions for those that could not attend live and who don’t need “live” hours.

Attendance Verification – Live Webinars
For the Saturday, June 13th “live” hours, there will be 50 minutes of presentation, followed by a five-minute quiz and a five-minute break every hour. At the 12:20 break there will be a short quiz then a 40 minute break for lunch. The quiz can be accessed in the chat via a link to the test questions.

On Demand Hours
June 13 – June 30, 2020
You will use the same account for the “On Demand” BrianWave webinars. You may begin taking these courses after the “live” webinars end at 3:00pm. After June 30th, you will no longer be able to access these courses through the virtual convention.

Click here for class descriptions and schedule.

Attendance Verification – On Demand
To verify attendance for the MAC’s “On Demand” hours in the SIDECARLearning Center, test questions will be presented after every “chapter” and can be started and stopped at any time, allowing attendees to set their own pace, take breaks, and pick back up right where they left off. The test must be passed prior to moving on to the next chapter.

CE Approval
Some state chiropractic licensing boards are taking the COVID-19 pandemic into account and making temporary accommodations to their continuing education policies to ensure their licensed chiropractors can get the CEs they need in order to renew their licenses. The Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards (FCLB) has created a web page outlining the changes that they know of to this point. This information is for guidance only – It is YOUR responsibility to confirm with your state licensing board whether BrainWave 2020 is approved in your state.

BrainWave is approved by PACE as it is powered by SIDECAR, which is a PACE-approved provider. To see which states accept PACE continuing education programs, click here. Just find your state and look for “Accepts PACE.”

We also believe continuing education credits are currently AVAILABLE for the states listed here. However, it is up to you to verify if this is still the case, now that BrainWave 2020 is a virtual event. If there is an additional price next to the state, that means that particular state charges that amount for the CE letter. You can pay to get the CE or just attend this course without CE.

Certificate of Attendance
At the end of every recorded program, a “certificate of attendance” will be in your certificate folder in the learning system. THIS IS NOT YOUR OFFICIAL ATTENDANCE LETTER. This certificate is a “receipt,” showing that you attended and completed each program. The live hours will be sent by quiz questions directly to Lisa at BrainWave who will compile them for your Attendance Letter. BrainWave will compile the webinars you attend during the symposium and will send your official attendance letter once you have completed all 12 hours.

Notes
Notes from the speakers that provide them will be listed in the File Vault for you to download in pdf format.

Thanks again, and we look forward to seeing you at the Virtual BrainWave Symposium in Cyber Space this weekend!
