Executive Order 2020-17 (COVID-19)
This afternoon, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer issued an Executive Order regarding "non-essential" health care. At this time, she is not ordering chiropractic offices to close. You can continue to practice and provide medically necessary care. Additionally, it is highly recommended that you continue to incorporate the CDC Guidelines and make any necessary adjustments to limiting patient exposure.

Chiropractic and Telehealth
COVID-19 will require health care providers to reassess how patient care can be delivered in ways that reduce the risk of spreading the infection. Telehealth servicers could be an option for Michigan chiropractors. Obviously, chiropractors cannot provide their primary service (the adjustment) online, but chiropractic telemedicine/telehealth encompasses a broad range of online consultations and electronic communications between the doctor and his/her patient.

Chiropractic malpractice insurance provider ChiroSecure conducted a Facebook Live webinar this afternoon regarding billing procedures for chiropractic telehealth. To watch this presentation, click here. And, watch this space for further information on chiropractic telehealth from the MAC.
